From the Artist's Series, Evening Aspirations
"A number of years ago the gallerist Jed Williams came to my studio to select pieces. His eyes landed on a pile of small drawings. Far from my usual forte, they are a daily practice. As the day ends, I put pen to paper and make marks. They are for me to explore, have fun, and fail. Contrary to this guiding ethos, quite a few have become precious."
