Born in Philadelphia, PA. BFA, Sculpture Department, Tyler School of Art. MFA, Photography Dept, Tyler School of Art. Worked at a private mint sculpting coins and medals. Sculpted obverse side, one cent piece for Guyana, 1970. Sculpted reverse side of the medal, 25th anniversary Queen Elizabeth's reign for British Virgin Islands.

Statement

When asked to write a short paragraph about art in my life or being an artist or doing art work, I sat down and tried to remember a time in my life when the two were not intertwined. I could not think of any period, when what I do and who I am were separate entities. From the time, I was old enough to sit up, my mother had me finger painting in the tub. I was hooked. I could express my nascent thoughts and feelings through color and paint. I could be messy -I could be delicate -I could create the world as I felt it. Today, I see the world in patterns of light and shadow. I think in terms of possibilities and probabilities. I work in time and with time to produce a finished piece that hopefully, will surpass my time.
